WELCOME TO SALVATION ARMY KYENI GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL
The school was started in 1980 by the Coffee Farmers Society together with Salvation Army as a mixed boarding school. The status of the school changed when the boys were faced out and the school remained a girl’s school in 2002. The school is located 4 ½ km off Kyeni Runyenje’s Highway on a 15 acre piece of land.
2.Administration and management
The school is managed by the board of governors and the principal acting as the secretary to the board. The school has a functional P.T.A
The school is registered as a single streamed school land. The school population has soared with time.
There are 9 permanent classrooms which were spacious and well ventilated.
There are two twin permanent dormitories.
There is one modern laboratory which was well equipped with chemicals and apparatus. One computer laboratory and an incomplete physics laboratory.
There are 8 permanent teacher’s houses and 5 semi-permanent houses.
The school is connected with water and electricity.
Co-curricuular activities include netball, football among others, clubs and societies.
